Pixelated Body Horror Game Look Outside Coming to Consoles

The game was released on PC in March 2025.

Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Francis Coulombe announced that the pixelated RPG with body horror elements, Look Outside, will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 30.

Look Outside takes place in an apartment building. A mysterious event turns anyone who looks out the window into grotesque monsters, plunging the world into chaos. The protagonist must explore corridors and apartments, search for food, weapons, and other supplies, and encounter strange characters — both humans and creatures that no longer resemble them.

Exploration requires planning: collected resources must be brought home, where you can cook dinner, craft useful items, play games, and build relationships with neighbors who may eventually become allies.

The combat system is based on turn-based battles with over 150 unique creatures. Not only the choice of weapon matters, but also the distance to the enemy. The player will have access to homemade tools and items found during excursions around the building.

The developers promise about 10–12 hours of gameplay, approximately a dozen boss battles, the ability to recruit allies, and invite some characters to your apartment. As the mystery unfolds, players can reach several different endings.
