Recently, well-known journalist and host of gaming shows Geoff Keighley decided to fuel players' expectations for the upcoming Summer Game Fest event. He posted a teaser on social media that particularly caught the attention of Half-Life fans.
The thing is, he posted a GIF image with steam. For English-speaking gamers, everything looks very obvious, as it's Steam (which translates to "steam").
This once again gave hope to Half-Life fans, and now they are waiting for some announcement from Valve within Summer Game Fest, but some users have a different interpretation of this teaser.
For example, user OkExcellent shared his vision. He said that he himself hopes that "Steam" refers to a "Half-Life" project, but expressed the opinion that it is more likely to be related to Watch Dogs.
There is also an opinion that an announcement related to another "Steam" — Steam Machine — might be made, as there was recent information that Valve imported "50 tons of 'gaming consoles'" in two days.
User WesternAncap asked Geoff Keighley: "Will there be more low-quality shooter-service games?" — hinting at Highguard, which the journalist promoted. This game did attract attention but was then criticized and quickly shut down.
This year, Summer Game Fest is expected to start on June 5.
