After the release of The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog has not released any full-fledged new projects, and it seems this is starting to raise questions not only among fans but also among Sony's management. This was reported by Bloomberg journalist and well-known insider Jason Schreier.
The discussion was sparked by a debate on Bluesky, where a user accused Sony of double standards. In their opinion, the company did not allow Bungie to start developing Destiny 3 due to high costs, but at the same time allows Naughty Dog to work on a single project for years without any results.
In response, Schreier noted that Naughty Dog's expenses are also a problem for Sony. However, the journalist later had to clarify that this is a problem for the entire gaming industry.
Naughty Dog is currently working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The game does not yet have a release date.
