On May 25, the life simulator Paralives was released in early access on Steam. In the first hours after the release, the project's peak online reached 78,603 concurrent players. And this is despite the fact that the launch fell at the beginning of the work week.

At the time of publication, the excitement has predictably subsided, and there are just over 21 thousand users in the game, but the project has already managed to collect "very positive" reviews.

Players praise Paralives for the developers' approach: all future updates and expansions are promised to be released for free, so in reviews, the game is often called "a whole project for the price of one DLC for The Sims 4".

The gameplay itself is compared to The Sims 3: users liked the open world, flexible character editor, grid-free building, and mod support via Steam Workshop.

There is also criticism. The game is criticized for poor optimization, an empty "live" simulation mode, and the lack of Russian localization.

According to preliminary data, Paralives will remain in early access for at least two years before its full release. Now it's up to the developers whether the project will retain its audience or repeat the fate of InZoi.
