The anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners," which once won the title of "Anime of the Year" and attracted new players to Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED, is preparing for a big comeback.
An announcement appeared on the project's official account: a special presentation of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" will begin on July 4 at 05:30 Moscow time at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The panel will last 80 minutes, and during this time, guests of the event are promised to be shown the first exclusive footage of the sequel, as well as discuss its production. Key authors of the project will take part in the event: director Kai Ikarashi, showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, and executive producer Saya Elder.
Recall that "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" will be a new standalone story in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. According to the creators, the sequel will be a "raw chronicle of redemption and revenge" and will abandon the romanticization of the cyberpunk image, which was partly present in the first season.
There is no exact release date for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" yet. The project is in active production and will be released exclusively on Netflix.
