Former Electronic Arts top manager Jean-Charles Gaudechon, who worked on the Battlefield and FIFA series, took over Remedy this year. In an interview with The Game Business, he stated that the Finnish studio is already creating unique author's projects, but their potential is far from fully realized.
He emphasized that the Alan Wake and Control franchises are capable of attracting a much wider audience. According to the company's head, the studio needs to think bigger and turn its intellectual property into full-fledged multimedia brands.
One step in this direction will be cooperation with Annapurna Pictures. The companies previously entered into an agreement under which films and TV series based on Alan Wake and Control could be created. Gaudechon believes that cross-media development will help Remedy take its franchises to a new level.
