Denuvo Cracked in 007 First Light Before Release Using Hypervisor

Some players have already gained access to 007 First Light and managed to bypass its DRM protection.

Early access to 007 First Light began on May 26. However, this is not the standard “premium” early access for owners of expanded editions; IO Interactive took a different approach. Currently, only the standard edition is available for purchase, and all pre-orders received an upgrade to the Deluxe edition and were granted 24-hour early access.

The PC version of the game about young James Bond was protected by Denuvo, but tech enthusiasts already have a proven scheme for such cases. Shortly after the early release of 007 First Light, hackers announced a crack, but it's not yet a full-fledged “crack.” The protection was bypassed using a hypervisor, meaning players will have to disable their PC's security systems to play.

Reviews for 007 First Light from players have already started appearing on Steam — they are “very positive,” with an 85% rating:

After a heroic feat, young Navy pilot James Bond receives an offer to join the revived “00” program. However, a mission to neutralize a rogue agent ends in tragedy, forcing him to team up with his skeptical mentor Greenway to uncover a conspiracy and thwart an attempted coup at the heart of the state.

The game's trailer is available at the following link.

Earlier, reviews of 007 First Light from journalists appeared online — the game is also being actively praised.
