Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the imminent discontinuation of support for Destruction AllStars. The game, developed by British studio Lucid Games and released in 2021, received mixed reviews from critics and failed to attract a wide audience.
The project has been removed from the PlayStation Store, and the sale of its virtual currency has ceased. Additionally, the company has shut down the servers responsible for the multiplayer component.
Important details for game owners:
- Access to single-player modes (except Arcade Mode) will be retained for existing users only until November 25. After this date, the only available option will be the single-player Arcade Mode challenges.
- Due to the server shutdown, "functionality and gameplay experience" may be affected, developers warn.
Sony cited "ongoing technical issues" as the reason for disabling online services. The company thanked the player community for their support and enthusiasm.
