Previously, a petition was also created, whose authors asked not to abandon the series and to make Destiny 3.

Players continue to actively discuss the future of the Destiny series after recent news from Bungie. Amid statements about the cessation of major updates for Destiny 2 and uncertainty surrounding the possible development of Destiny 3, the community has decided to organize a new protest.

Fans of the franchise plan to massively log into the game on June 9th to create a high load on the servers and thereby show the developers that the series is still in demand. The initiative quickly gained popularity after a Reddit post with a simple call: “Everyone – Log in on June 9th”.

The author of the post, under the nickname w1nds0r, stated that players should try to surpass Marathon's online record. According to him, the studio made a mistake by ignoring community feedback and focusing on controversial changes to game systems.

In his address, he noted that the Heresy update turned out great, and the Edge of Fate storyline sparked interest among fans. The player urged users to invite friends and clan members to log into Destiny 2 on the day of the last update's release, calling it “the last chance to show that the franchise is still valuable”.

The publication has already gathered thousands of upvotes and over a thousand comments. Although Reddit reflects only a portion of the Destiny 2 audience, discussion of the action quickly spread across social networks and gaming communities.
