MLB The Show Mobile Globally Released on iOS and Android

MLB The Show Mobile Baseball, a new game from PlayStation Mobile, has been released on iOS and Android. The mobile version was created as a standalone game by San Diego Studio, the permanent authors of the franchise since 2006. The developers adapted the series' mechanics for short gaming sessions on smartphones, while preserving the authentic gameplay of console simulators.

At launch, players have access to single-player modes and competitive PvP multiplayer. A key feature of the mobile version is the collectible card system with over 1100 real baseball players from past and present years. Its structure resembles EA Sports' Ultimate Team: players will have to assemble their own roster, open packs, trade on the internal market, and upgrade athletes' characteristics.

The project can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play, but users from Russia who wish to join virtual baseball will have to use workarounds.
