In late May, Valve announced that the Steam Deck OLED model was back on sale. Previously, the company warned that some regions might experience problems with device availability due to a shortage of storage and RAM.
Valve had to revise the price of the Steam Deck OLED: the 512 GB model now costs $789 (previously $549), and the price of the 1 TB version increased to $949 (previously $649).
In terms of the devices' characteristics, nothing has changed — the price revision is due to the cost of the components used, as well as logistical difficulties that have “affected the entire industry.”
Currently, both versions of the Steam Deck are available for purchase in the Valve store. Delivery is promised within three to five business days. According to a note on the store page, the docking station and power supply are out of stock.
Previously, another company increased the cost of its devices — Sony revised its pricing policy not only for new PlayStation 5s but also for refurbished models.
