Capcom is not yet ready to talk about the future of Pragmata, but the game's director has already made it clear that he would not mind a sequel.

During a recent interview with the creators of Pragmata, journalists asked if the developers planned to turn the fresh release into a full-fledged franchise. When game director Yonhi Cho was directly asked if he would take on Pragmata 2 given the opportunity, he answered in the affirmative.

"Of course, I would love to take on a sequel. But I am not the only one who makes such decisions, so, unfortunately, I cannot say anything more."

The GamesRadar journalist who spoke with the developers described the situation as if the game director had "thrown a live grenade into the room" with his words.

Capcom's Japanese PR representatives, who were present on the call, reacted instantly and clarified that this was "Cho's personal opinion," not the official plans of the publisher. Cho himself also confirmed that he was speaking only for himself, and producer Naoto Oyama asked "not to take words out of context": the team is currently fully focused on ensuring that as many players as possible get acquainted with the original.

Yonhi Cho's words, of course, are not an announcement of a second part. Nevertheless, the developer has every reason to dream of a sequel. Pragmata was his directorial debut after ten years in the industry and showed excellent results: in the first two weeks, the game sold 2 million copies and received high ratings from the press and players.
