Arc Raiders Defeats Battlefield 6 at Nordic Game Awards

The organizers of the Nordic Game Awards have named the best projects created in the Nordic countries.

The Swedish extraction shooter Arc Raiders triumphantly took the main award at the Nordic Game Awards 2026. The Embark Studios project beat out other major competitors, including Battlefield 6 and Dune: Awakening.

In addition to the "Nordic Game of the Year" title, the creators of Arc Raiders received awards for best technology and best audio design. Meanwhile, Battlefield 6, which was nominated for three awards, left the ceremony empty-handed.

Overall, Swedish developers dominated the awards, taking five out of seven key accolades. The award for best game design went to Split Fiction by Hazelight Studios, and The Midnight Walk by MoonHood was recognized as the most beautiful game.

Danish studios celebrated victories in the nominations for best debut, where the simulator Discounty won, and best entertainment for all thanks to Lego Voyagers. The audience award went to the indie project Lootbound by Moldovan Artdock Games.
