Grinding Gear Games announced the launch of a free weekend for Path of Exile 2 in honor of the release of the massive Return of the Ancients update. From May 29 to June 1, everyone will be able to try the game for free on PC and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation fans were not invited.
Currently, the game offers 12 classes with an Ascension system, allowing for additional customization of playstyle. Players can complete the campaign alone or team up in cooperative groups of up to six people.
The main event was the release of the Return of the Ancients update. According to Grinding Gear Games, the update significantly reworks the endgame content, making it more structured and story-driven. In addition, the update adds a new league, new Ascension classes, and many improvements that fans have been asking for.
