CDPR Prepares for Secret Project Release in 2026 - Developers Finalizing New Title

The company has more than just a Witcher 3 expansion in the works.

CD Projekt RED recently discussed its financial report with investors and answered their questions. During the conversation, they touched upon not only the upcoming expansion Songs of the Past for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but also mentioned work on another project.

The company's reports mentioned several unannounced projects that were in the final stages of development. It is already known that one of them is "Songs of the Past." The company has another project in the works that players will be able to see in the foreseeable future.

During the investor Q&A session, CD Projekt RED CFO Piotr Nielubowicz stated that the Witcher 3 expansion was originally planned for release this year:

For several quarters, we have been reporting that we have unannounced projects in our pipeline at an advanced stage of production, and one of them is the expansion being developed in collaboration with Fool’s Theory. Our initial plans suggested that Songs of the Past could be released this year. However, we decided to postpone the release to 2027.

Piotr Nielubowicz then added that CD Projekt RED has something else in store. This project is at an advanced stage and they plan to release it in 2026:

Obviously, we also have other content at an advanced stage of production, and while it is certainly not comparable in scale to a major expansion, we still plan to release it this year.

The manager did not disclose details of the project. It is only known that it is not a mobile game.
