The creators of the anime adaptation of "Kaiju No. 8" broke the silence surrounding the special short episode Kaiju No. 8: Narumi's Week at Work, dedicated to Gen Narumi. The authors published the first poster and announced that the premiere will take place in autumn 2026.
Production I.G and Studio Khara are once again responsible for the production. The former has been responsible for the series' animation since its launch, while the latter handles kaiju design. Yutaka Izubuchi is directing the new project, and Mahiro Maeda will prepare the character designs.
As for the continuation of the main series, there is no news yet on the format and exact release date of the final arc. No new information has been received since its announcement in December 2025.
