Nintendo quietly released Pictonico – a new mobile game for Android and iOS. The main mechanic of the project is based on the user's personal photos.
The application requests access to the smartphone's gallery or offers to take a picture with the camera, and then generates quick mini-games in the style of WarioWare based on the images. Interactive tasks last only a few seconds: players will have to, for example, help the person in the picture pop fruits or lather their head with shampoo.
Pictonico is available for free on Google Play and the App Store, but only three mini-games are unlocked in the basic version. The rest of the content is sold in separate packs. Currently, the game features 80 activities divided into two paid volumes: the first includes 50 games and costs $7.99, the second – 30 games for $5.99.
