JORO studio has announced the mobile action game Code Geass Knightmare Survivor, based on the cult anime "Code Geass". The game is being developed for iOS and Android and will be released this year. On the official website and social media, the developers announced the start of pre-registration, but the links to Google Play and the App Store are not yet clickable. It is likely that the game's store pages will appear a little later.
Knightmare Survivor's gameplay is inspired by the popular "bullet heaven" subgenre, in the vein of Vampire Survivors. Players will have to assemble combat squads from familiar characters of the franchise, level them up, and destroy hundreds of enemies while piloting huge mechs.
The announcement coincides with the large-scale celebration of the 20th anniversary of the "Code Geass" franchise. As part of the anniversary, the creators have planned several major releases: in addition to the mobile game, fans can expect a new anime, Code Geass Hoshi Oi no Aspal, announced last December, an official theatrical musical, and a themed exhibition.
