Games Workshop has released a new cinematic trailer to mark the upcoming release of the 11th edition of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game.
In the video, the team showed the Emperor of Mankind, whose decaying corpse sits on the Golden Throne, an Imperial battleship entering the Warp, Aeldari on a craftworld, Castellans fighting Necrons, and a battle between ordinary Imperial soldiers and Chaos Space Marines.
The video also featured Tyranids devouring everything in their path, and the horrors unfolding in the 41st millennium, where there is no peace, no hope, no bright future, and only war.
In addition, the developers announced that pre-orders for the 11th edition starter set of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game will open on June 6, 2026 (it is expected to be available in stores on June 20).
Also on the same day, pre-orders for the book "Armageddon: Season of Fire" by British writer Jude Reid will be allowed. In this novel, Major Ambrosius Roth of the Steel Legion, Sister Superior Sabrine of the Order of Our Martyred Lady, and Brother Gavriel of the Blood Angels face impossible choices as they try to stem the Ork onslaught.
This is a look at one of the key battles for Armageddon and how it was fought over generations, told from three perspectives: the Astra Militarum, the Adepta Sororitas, and the Space Marines.
