The release of the "One Piece" sequel is still far off, but the creator of the original manga and creative consultant for the project, Eiichiro Oda, has already shared his first impressions. In the pages of the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the author revealed that he recently visited the film complex in Cape Town, where filming is currently in full swing.
Oda stated that he saw "incredible visuals" and emphasized that he eagerly awaits the opportunity to evaluate the final version of the third season, which will be subtitled "Battle for Alabasta."
The continuation will adapt the arc of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates' confrontation with the secret organization Baroque Works. The heroes will attempt to help Princess Nefertari Vivi free the Kingdom of Alabasta from the oppression of Sir Crocodile, also known as Mr. 0. The villain plans to seize power in the country to search for the legendary treasure One Piece.
The premiere of the third season of "One Piece" is scheduled for 2027.
