Amazon's Life Is Strange Adaptation Adds Five New Actors

According to Variety, five new performers have joined the cast of the upcoming series based on the cult interactive drama Life Is Strange: Billy Barratt ("Return Her from the Dead"), Emily Carey ("House of the Dragon"), Esther McGregor ("We Were Liars"), Fali Rakotohavana ("Back to the Outback"), and Mia Isaac ("The Perfect Couple").

The series adapts the plot of the original 2015 game and tells the story of Max, a student who discovers the ability to rewind time. Using this gift, she saves the life of her childhood friend Chloe. In an attempt to understand the nature of her power, the girls begin to investigate the mysterious disappearance of another student and gradually uncover the dark secrets of their town.

The main roles of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price will be played by Tatum Grace Hopkins and Maisy Stella. Charlie Covell ("The End of the F***ing World") serves as showrunner and writer for the project. Executive producers are Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen. Production is handled by Amazon MGM Studios.

Filming is set to begin on June 29, 2026, in Vancouver and will continue until October 16. The first season will consist of six episodes, with the premiere scheduled for 2027.
