Switch 2 doesn't handle modern games as confidently, lagging behind Xbox Series X and PS5.

Rayman Legends Retold on Switch 2 will be able to offer ray tracing, 4K output, and a stable 60 frames per second.

This was stated by Ubisoft Montpellier technical consultant Fabien Delpiano in an interview with VGC. According to him, implementing such technologies on Switch 2 was a serious challenge for developers, especially given the need to maintain 60 FPS across all platforms — from Nintendo Switch 2 to PlayStation 5 Pro and powerful PCs.

One of the key solutions was to reduce the internal rendering resolution. According to the developer, the load on the graphics processor directly depends on the image resolution, so reducing this parameter helps free up resources for other effects. At the same time, the Switch 2 version will use NVIDIA DLSS technology, thanks to which the game will be able to output in 4K resolution in docked mode and 1080p in portable mode.

Delpiano emphasized that in terms of graphics quality, the Nintendo Switch 2 version is roughly on par with the Xbox Series S. However, in some aspects, the game will even be able to compete with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions.
