VK Play has announced the launch of the third season of the “VK Play Laboratory” program to support young game developers.

The main innovation of this season will be the opportunity for winners to receive promotional support for their projects after release. The best teams will be able to count on informational support and additional attention from VK Play's multi-million audience, which will help aspiring studios make a name for themselves in the market.

As part of the competition, an expert jury will select the most promising projects for PC and mobile devices. After that, the games will be presented for evaluation to platform users, streamers, and editorial specialists. A dedicated project page will be created for each participant in the VK Play catalog.

Finalists will also receive consultations from industry professionals and closed project presentations for representatives of international publishers. The organizers emphasize that the competition provides support for all participants: teams that do not make it to the final stage will receive bonuses from VK Play Cloud, as well as expert recommendations for the further development of their games.

Student teams can apply, provided that the project leader and at least 60% of the participants are studying at universities, colleges, or accredited educational courses. One of the mandatory requirements is the availability of a playable demo version lasting at least ten minutes, as well as the creation of a project page on the VK Play platform and compliance with all competition conditions.

Projects from previous seasons' participants have already been released on VK Play. Among them are “Save the Kitten” (MIREA), “Antidote to Despair” (ITMO), and Roach Post (HSE).
