Thanks to the shadPS4 emulator, launching Bloodborne on PC has become a reality. Enthusiasts have joined the cause, and now various modifications are being released for the unofficial "PC version" of the game.
Recently, a new Bloodborne remake for PC was released by a modder under the nickname Serotoniner. He completely revamped the visual component of the project – changing textures, lighting, and material properties in the main game and DLC content:
The goal was to make each location and time of day unique, memorable, and worth re-exploring. The result is something closer to how Bloodborne is remembered by players: darker, more gothic, and more mysterious.
The "BB Reborne" project is distributed for free via Nexus Mods. The developer warned that the project is demanding: it requires 23 GB of storage, 32 GB of RAM is recommended, and added that for comfortable gaming with the mod, "a video card with 16 GB of VRAM will probably be needed."
It requires shadPS4 emulator version 0.15.1 or newer to work; the mod is not intended for a hacked PS4 console.
The previous fan-made Bloodborne remake on PC was shut down at Sony's request. There is also a mod-remaster that periodically receives updates with improvements.
