The official website for the anime "Skeleton Knight in Another World" announced that the second season will begin airing on television and streaming platforms on July 4. Simultaneously, the creators released the first stills from the debut episode.
Director Katsumi Ono returned to work on the sequel, but there were significant changes in the production team. Aura Studio is now responsible for animation, replacing KAI and HORNETS studios. In addition, Toshizo Nemoto, known for his work on the fourth season of "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," took over as head writer. Character designers, art director, and CGI director were also replaced. Only character designer Toru Imanishi, monster designer Yoshihiro Nagamori, and sound director Satoshi Motoyama retained their positions from the previous team.
The original story tells of a gamer who fell asleep while playing and woke up in an unfamiliar fantasy world in the body of his own character — a powerful knight with the appearance of an ominous skeleton. The first season of the anime was released in April 2022.
