According to insider Nate the Hate, a Nintendo Direct should take place next week – in the period starting June 8. He noted that many players are expecting details from Nintendo about future releases after the launch of Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and Splatoon Raiders, and the company is allegedly ready to share this information very soon.
If the rumor is confirmed, this will be the first full-fledged Nintendo Direct in the last nine months. The previous major presentation took place in September 2025 and was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series.
Currently, Nintendo has officially confirmed only a few of its own games for Switch 2. Among the upcoming releases, only Rhythm Heaven Groove will be released simultaneously on the original Switch – scheduled for July 2.
As for Switch 2 exclusives, Star Fox will be released on June 25, Splatoon Raiders on July 23, and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is expected to appear by the end of this year.
