American rapper and actor Marvin Jones III, who voiced the crime boss Tombstone in the animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," will return to the role in "Spider-Man: New Day." Initially, it was assumed that the character would be one of the central antagonists of the film, but promotional materials for the film have so far avoided mentioning his involvement.
According to industry insider Cryptic HD QUALITY, Tombstone's role in the fourth solo Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland will be minor. If this is correlated with previous leaks about the film's structure, the character may only appear in an episode dedicated to how Peter Parker spent four years after the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," fighting street crime in New York.
However, Peter Parker will not be short of adversaries: the film will feature the Hand organization, Scorpion, Tarantula, and Boomerang, as well as the Hulk, played by Bruce Banner, who, according to the latest promotional materials, is tipped for a key antagonistic role.
The film is scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2026.
