Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition Finally Gets Release Date

The most complete edition of the game will be released on Switch 2 in August.

FromSoftware has officially announced the release date for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. Owners of the new console will be able to venture into the Lands Between on August 28.

Tarnished Edition will offer not only the base game and the massive Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, but also new content previously unavailable on any platform. This includes two new starting classes, four new armor sets, additional weapons and Ashes of War, as well as three cosmetic customization options for Torrent the steed, including changes to appearance, decorations, and saddle.

Buyers of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will receive all new content along with the main game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Owners of other versions of Elden Ring will not need to purchase the game again: the new set of classes, armor, and weapons will be available as a separate paid add-on. According to FromSoftware, its cost in Japan will be 550 yen, which is equivalent to approximately 4 US dollars. The exact price for other regions will be announced later.
