Gothic Remake bursts into Steam's top charts even before release

Gothic 1 Remake will be released today on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Even before its release, the updated RPG from Alkimia Interactive entered the top ten best-selling games on Steam and currently ranks third on the chart.

The premiere of Gothic 1 Remake will take place today, June 5, 2026. THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive already have reason for optimism: since yesterday, the game has been among Steam's top ten bestsellers and, at the time of publication, is ahead of the new 007 First Light.

This refers to pre-orders. Steam users who pre-order will receive a digital soundtrack as a bonus.

Gothic 1 Remake recreates familiar locations from the original Piranha Bytes game, released in 2001. The project is developed on Unreal Engine 5. Tonight, players will be able to assess how successfully the studio managed to cope with a technology that often causes difficulties for many developers.
