Modern Warfare 3 Fan Waited Out a 4999-Day Ban and Rushed Back into the Game After 13 Years
After many years, the player got the opportunity to legally return to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2011).
Recently, fans of the Call of Duty franchise noticed the story of one gamer. LukeManuFc received a prolonged ban in CoD Modern Warfare 3 (2011) — for 4999 days. For many, the game would have "ended" there, and they would have moved on to another project or found a way to continue playing on a different account, but this player did otherwise.
Many years later, he tried to launch the old Modern Warfare 3 (he has a disc for the console) and found out that there were 164 days left until the ban expired. He decided to just wait.
The day the block was lifted arrived, but his waiting didn't end there — he had to sit for a few more hours while the timer counted down the final hours. As a result, after 13+ years, LukeManuFc was able to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2011) again:
LukeManuFc said that he used to play very effectively, was in the world's top leaderboards, and his account progression was reset several times for "cheating." He claims that he wasn't cheating at the time, meaning this punishment was unfair. At a certain point, he decided that if he was being "reset" for alleged cheating, he could "really cheat," and ultimately, boosting his account resulted in a 4999-day ban.
