The Emperor Invites: Creative Assembly Opens Applications for Total War: Warhammer 40,000 Beta

During the PC Gaming Show, Creative Assembly spoke about their work with the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the efforts required to accurately convey the atmosphere of the iconic franchise.

Creative Assembly focuses on the grand battles that the Total War series is famous for, but attention is also paid to details on the battlefield: explosions look impressive, and dismemberment and flying limbs add spectacle to the battles.

One of the project's features will be the planet generation system. According to the developers, even worlds of the same type can differ significantly due to various climatic conditions. For example, arid ice planets will be covered with more craters, while a temperate climate will lead to the appearance of ice masses and rocks around settlements.

The team pays great attention to the diversity of architecture and verticality of maps, which should make each battle unique. The demonstrated variety of locations already looks quite impressive.

The developers also confirmed plans for a closed beta test. You can already sign up for the list of interested players here, and details about the test dates are promised to be revealed later.
