In June, Cyberwave, rokaplay, and Metaroot announced the release of Solarpunk for PC on Steam and consoles. This is another cozy survival game. This time, the events take place in a technologically advanced world of floating islands.
Players will be offered to engage in traditional genre activities — building structures, creating a farm, crafting gadgets. In addition, there will be an opportunity to board their airship to explore distant islands in the sky.
Many players were attracted by Solarpunk's description. On the game's page in the Valve service, the developers did not publish loud marketing statements, but instead explained point by point to the community who their game would or would not suit. For example, one should not expect PvP, competitive multiplayer, or a huge world here.
Some gamers positively received this move by the developers:
You don't expect such honesty from a developer/publisher at all. Pleasant
Thank you for your honesty. I support this project because it's small. This is exactly what I need right now. I don't need another survival game in the forest with a sharpened stick.
The Solarpunk page on Steam is available at the following link. The first reviews of the game are "mostly positive".
