After several years of development, Killer Bean Studios announced the release of Killer Bean on PC via Steam in "early access" format. It's a first/third-person action roguelike.
According to the plot, the main character is betrayed by the Shadow Agency, and his main goal is to destroy this organization – he will have to deal with an army of enemy agents, including formidable bosses (the current version features 4 full-fledged and 4 mini-bosses).
The developer plans to expand the list of supported languages, add online co-op modes and character customization options, and release new missions and bosses.
The Killer Bean page on Steam is available at the following link. Initial reviews of the game are "mixed" – dissatisfied users note technical issues, and some were not pleased with the quality of gameplay mechanics and mission design.
The game is expected to remain in "early access" for two years; the developer plans to release major content updates every two months.
The creator of Killer Bean has already started fixing the game – promptly releasing a couple of patches aimed at resolving the issue with the volume slider.
