Evy is connected to Eve from the original Stellar Blade, but the developers are not rushing to go into detail.

Shift Up CEO and Stellar Blade Game Director Hyung-Tae Kim told Famitsu in an interview that Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN's main character, Evy, is a special forces fighter tasked with finding the group responsible for a major terrorist act in the city.

According to the project lead, one of the team's main goals was to create a character who could surpass Eve's popularity not only through her appearance but also through her character and emotional depth.

Of course, I really like Eve's appearance, but when creating Evy, we are not only focused on physical attractiveness. We want to create a character that players can truly love.

To achieve this goal, Shift Up is using the experience gained while working on Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. The developers carefully studied how players become attached to characters in the game and what narrative elements help form an emotional connection with the heroes.
