Dragon's Dogma 2 to Receive Updates and New Content - Capcom Announces Dark Arisen Expansion
Fans have long suspected that the developers were preparing something new for the game.
Capcom recently reminded players about Dragon's Dogma 2 again. The company announced an expansion for the game.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will introduce a new northern region to the game, as well as story content and equipment. Players will be offered several challenges scattered throughout the game world.
Community feedback was taken into account when refining the game:
We studied player feedback received after the initial release of DD2 and set three goals for updating and expanding the game: improving gameplay, expanding the adventure, and attractive value.
Capcom said that several updates for Dragon's Dogma 2 will be introduced before the launch of Dark Arisen – the first is expected in the coming days:
Ahead of this expansion's release, two major updates will be released to improve the gameplay of the base version of the game. The first update will be released on June 10, 2026. Stay tuned for more news!
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026 – on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For owners of the original DD2, the Dark Arisen expansion will be available as a separate DLC.
