Crowd Games publishing house announced that the cooperative board game “Primal. Awakening,” designed for 1-4 players, is now available for purchase.
Currently, it can be purchased for 19,990 rubles, the “Nightmare” expansion for 4,490 rubles, the “Mount Chaos,” “Feather,” “Poison,” and “Ice” expansions for 3,990 rubles each, the “Primal Terrain” miniatures set for 2,990 rubles, a playmat for 1,650 rubles, an artbook for 2,650 rubles, and a box of card sleeves for 11,490 rubles.
“Primal. Awakening” is a boss-hunting project with a full-fledged campaign and the ability to play individual missions. Players control a squad of hunters and fight giant monsters, represented by detailed miniatures. Each battle is a tactical challenge where positioning, team interaction, card management, and resource management are crucial.
Battles are structured in phases: the enemy accumulates rage, activates abilities, and adapts to the players' actions. It has stances, vulnerable zones, and reactions to character positions and chosen cards. It is necessary to consider timing, enemy behavior, and one's own position – victory requires precise calculation, not just dealing damage.
Cards perform several functions at once: they are used to strike and activate abilities, but this requires discarding other cards. Decks are formed based on weapons and determine available colors: blue reduces rage, red deals damage, green and yellow are responsible for defense. The deck composition can be adjusted for a specific battle and gradually strengthened as the campaign progresses.
Materials obtained in battles are used to craft equipment. A separate resource, unrelated to others, is provided for potions. Resource management requires a thoughtful approach: they are not just accumulated but allow for more effective action.
Plus, each monster has four difficulty levels with new phases and abilities.
