Zenimax Online has officially achieved Steam Deck Verified status for The Elder Scrolls Online. This means that the MMORPG is now fully adapted for Valve's handheld console and should work correctly right after installation, without the need for additional settings.
Previously, the game only had the "Playable" mark, which it received back in 2024. At that time, the developers promised to eventually bring the project to full certification. The main obstacle remained the external ESO launcher, which required a mouse to interact with. In addition, after launch, the game defaulted to a keyboard and mouse control scheme, and users had to manually switch to a gamepad.
Obtaining "Verified" status eliminates these inconveniences. Now, Steam Deck owners can expect a full console experience with proper support for built-in controls and convenient interface navigation without additional manipulations.
