Fans of The Wolf Among Us 2 received another piece of good news. At Summer Game Fest, the developers confirmed that the game will be released in 2027, and new statements from Telltale's management revealed plans for its distribution.

Twelve years have passed since the final episode of the first part was released, and seven years since the announcement of the sequel in 2019. One of the main questions remained whether the game would be released episodically, like most previous Telltale projects.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie and PM Studios head Michael Yum stated that the company is considering moving away from the traditional episodic model. According to them, releasing individual episodes complicates promotion and release organization.

Company representatives noted that modern audiences are accustomed to receiving content in its entirety. Michael Yum stated that the team intends to provide players with a complete set of materials and release all prepared episodes simultaneously.
