Marvel Television has revealed the first official synopsis for the VisionQuest series, which will conclude the storyline begun in 2021 in "Wanda/Vision." The story will center on White Vision, played by Paul Bettany, who, after regaining his memory, tries to recover lost emotions and reunite with his grown-up sons – Tommy and Billy Maximoff.
According to the synopsis, the rebooted synthezoid, who escaped from S.W.O.R.D. agents, had been hiding from the world for a long time. However, his attempts to start a new life are threatened when a large bounty is placed on his head. To survive, Vision will have to learn to build real human connections and accept his new "adoptive family."
Among the hunters for Vision will be the mercenary Paladin, played by Todd Stashwick, and Raz – the former leader of the terrorist organization "Ten Rings," a role to which Faran Tahir will return, and part of the events will unfold in the criminal city-state of Madripoor.
Ultron will also appear in the series, once again voiced by James Spader. His role in the plot has not yet been officially revealed, but it is assumed that he may have placed the bounty on Vision's head.
To deal with the threat, the main character will seek help from other well-known AIs in the Marvel universe. The show will feature Jarvis, played by James D'Arcy, Friday, played by Orla Brady, E.D.I.T., played by Emily Hampshire, Tony Stark's robot assistant Dum-E, and the cyborg Jocasta, played by T'Nia Miller.
Previously, lead actor Paul Bettany said that "Vision Quest" would be an ambitious finale to the trilogy, but would also be valuable as a standalone story. According to him, showrunner Terry Matalas, known for "Star Trek: Picard," did a great job and created "a funny, touching, and exciting story."
The premiere of "Vision Quest" on Disney+ will take place on October 14, 2026.
