Recently, six-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams appeared on Jimmy Fallon's late-night show and officially confirmed that she has joined the cast of the upcoming feature film "Star Wars: Starfighter."
"These rumors are absolutely true. Yes, that's all I can tell you right now: I'm officially in."
The actress declined to share plot details or describe her role but promised to reveal more as soon as possible. She also admitted to being a huge fan of George Lucas's universe since childhood, carefully preserving old franchise toys (including a Princess Leia doll), and considers the invitation to a galaxy far, far away a true dream come true.
Production of "Star Wars: Starfighter" is already in full swing in the UK. Shawn Levy ("Deadpool & Wolverine") is in the director's chair. The film will tell a completely new story, unrelated to the Skywalker family legacy, and Ryan Gosling plays the lead role in the project.
In addition to Gosling and Adams, the cast includes Mia Goth, Matt Smith, Aaron Pierre, Jamael Westman, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, and Daniel Ings. The world premiere of "Star Wars: Starfighter" is scheduled for May 28, 2027.
