Netflix recently released the first teaser for the series "Scooby-Doo: The Beginning," showing for the first time the performer of the role of the famous four-legged detective. It turned out to be a real Great Dane puppy, which immediately sparked heated debate online.

Some fans believe that the new Scooby-Doo looks too ordinary and lacks the character's signature "humanity." Users complain that a real dog will not be able to convey the character's facial expressions, plasticity, and comedic timing.

"That's not Scooby, that's just a dog," "Classic Netflix: destroying characters and calling it an adaptation,"write dissatisfied users on Twitter/X. In the comments under our news, one user also noted that "Scooby-Doo not devouring meter-long sandwiches in one bite is not the real Scooby-Doo."

However, Netflix's decision found many supporters. Many users positively evaluated the rejection of computer graphics and reminded that the series will tell the origin story of Mystery Inc. In their opinion, it is quite logical that the future Scooby-Doo will appear before viewers as a puppy. Others urge to wait for the full trailer and not draw conclusions from a few seconds of the teaser.

The premiere of "Scooby-Doo: The Beginning" is scheduled for 2027.
