AMC has released the first full trailer for the third season of the spin-off "The Walking Dead: Dead City". This time, Maggie and Negan will try to clear Manhattan of hordes of zombies and revive civilization. However, the heroes' views on a bright future differ greatly. While Maggie builds idealistic plans, Negan explicitly states that for the community's survival, "a lot of other people will have to be killed."

The creators of the series previously noted that in the third season, the dynamic between Maggie and Negan will change significantly. After years of hatred, the characters will finally begin to act as a full-fledged team. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who, along with Lauren Cohan, serves as executive producer, says that "they needed this relationship for Maggie and Negan to finally be able to move on."

The cast of the third season also includes Logan Kim, Gaius Charles, Lisa Emery, Jimmi Simpson, Aimee Garcia, Raul Castillo, and Kier Gilchrist. Seth Hoffman, who previously worked as a writer for the original "The Walking Dead", became the new showrunner. The premiere of the third season of "The Walking Dead: Dead City" will take place on July 26, 2026.
