One phrase during the Resident Evil Veronica discussion gave Dino Crisis fans hope for the franchise's revival
Some players have been waiting for years for "Resident with dinosaurs" to return.
Capcom successfully brought back old Resident Evil titles in remake format, and fans of another franchise—Dino Crisis—would like to see something similar. However, the company has so far only offered them re-releases of the first games on modern platforms, as well as a dinosaur shooter called Exoprimal.
Perhaps the Dino Crisis franchise still has a chance for a full-fledged revival. A press event was recently held for Resident Evil Veronica—a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
The author of the YouTube channel Centre For Evil said that when producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi was asked about Dino Crisis, his answer was something like: "No comment, although I know the answer." And, according to the blogger, Yoshiaki then laughed.
Some fans of the franchise hope that Capcom is still considering the possibility of reviving Dino Crisis, which is why the producer (as they believe) did not give an unequivocal "no."
Resident Evil Veronica is scheduled for release in 2027. Capcom has not yet announced a specific release date for the remake. You can add the game to your Steam wishlist via the following link.
During this event, some details of the Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake were also revealed.
