Love Born in League of Legends: Riot Games Congratulates Couple with Unique Wedding Gift
A 12-year love story.
A love story that began in League of Legends almost 12 years ago has been continued thanks to Riot Games. The developers of the popular MOBA prepared a personalized wedding gift for the newlyweds, which touched not only the couple themselves but also the gaming community.
The unusual story was shared by X user Ironelia. According to her, her sister and future husband met in League of Legends almost 12 years ago and soon decided to get married.
My sister and her boyfriend met in League of Legends almost 12 years ago. This Saturday, they are getting married.
Wishing to make the celebration even more special, Ironelia contacted Riot Games support and asked the company to send a small congratulation to the future spouses. However, the response exceeded all expectations.
In the package, the newlyweds found a personalized wedding card, designed with an image of the famous champion couple Xayah and Rakan. The card was addressed to their in-game nicknames and was accompanied by a unique commemorative souvenir.

The main gift was a decorative box with a plaque depicting the Summoner's Rift map. Above the map was the inscription "We met here," and below it was the date when the couple first added each other as friends in the game.
But what touched fans the most was another detail. Instead of a standard corporate greeting, Riot Games employees left personal messages for the couple.
"You turned a video game into a love story. Not everyone can do that," one employee wrote.
Another added: "From champion picks to a marriage proposal – what an amazing journey. We wish you a lifetime of happiness."
The third congratulation was more elaborate: "13 years ago, two players loaded into the same match and had no idea what awaited them. Since then, the meta has changed hundreds of times, new patches have been released, champions have become stronger and weaker. But you are still together."
