Electronic Arts has announced the upcoming shutdown of Grid Legends online services. The project's servers will be disabled on September 11, 2026.
After the server shutdown, users will likely lose access to online multiplayer and other network features. However, single-player content, including career and story mode, should remain accessible, although EA has not yet disclosed details on which specific game elements will be affected by the changes.
The published list includes Grid Legends versions for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. At present, it remains unclear whether the shutdown will affect other platforms, including the PC version on Steam.
Of particular interest is the Grid Legends: Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, which was released in January 2026. Since it will only be eight months old by the time the servers are shut down on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, it is possible that the Switch 2 version will retain network features for longer. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet.
