In June, Bethesda returned to Starfield and released a small update 1.16.244 on PC and consoles. It does not add new content but aims to fix various technical issues and improve game stability.
The developers have fixed several critical errors that could cause the game to crash. For example, a bug could trigger if a “Designer Couch” was installed on board a ship. They also fixed an issue where controls could freeze when trying to pass through loading doors while using the scanner.
Some other changes:
- Fixed an issue where Delta could have an incorrect size.
- Fixed some “points of interest” so they do not spawn on planets without human presence.
- Fixed an issue where too many asteroids appeared in one space event.
- Loading a save will now remove incorrectly displayed invasion icons on the map.
- Fixed a freeze in the transport menu.
- Fixed a bug with character textures during hero creation.
- Various crash fixes and stability improvements.
