Phantom Blade Zero Surprised with Marketing - Only Side Content Shown

It turned out that all previously shown impressive trailers and gameplay demonstrations from S-Game studio do not belong to the main story campaign, but represent side content.

This became known during Summer Game Fest 2026, where blogger Luke Stephens personally tested the game. The developers informed him that all previously published materials demonstrated additional content, not key story missions.

At the same time, testers clarify that the boss battles seen in the trailers are completely real – without staging or scripts. The battles in the game indeed look as fluid and spectacular as in the official videos.

Despite the dark atmosphere, Phantom Blade Zero is increasingly compared not to soulslike games, but to classic dynamic action games. The gameplay is based on quick reactions, complex attack combinations, parries, and dodges.

The combat system is built around diverse weapons. Players can switch between several weapon types directly during battles, creating long attack combinations and adapting to enemy weaknesses.
