Xbox Denies Rumors of Abandoning Exclusives Amid Microsoft Gaming Division Reshuffle

News 0

Amid numerous rumors and discussions surrounding Xbox's future strategy, new information has emerged online suggesting that the company is allegedly preparing to abandon its policy of exclusive games. However, Xbox management has publicly denied these claims.

The speculation was fueled by social media posts, according to which Microsoft might have reconsidered its plans for releasing exclusives. Some users even suggested that the company's previous statements about exclusive projects were merely part of a PR campaign.

Xbox's Head of Strategy, Matthew Ball, responded to these rumors. In response to a journalist Jez Corden's publication, he stated that the circulating information was not true.

According to Ball, previously announced exclusives, including Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution, will retain their status as exclusive projects for the Xbox ecosystem. Moreover, there are no discussions within the company about abandoning this strategy.

The Xbox representative also emphasized that players should expect new first-party exclusives in the future. According to him, the company still intends to release its own exclusive projects annually.

Thus, despite ongoing discussions surrounding Microsoft's multiplatform policy, Xbox management assures that plans for releasing exclusive games remain unchanged, and rumors of a complete abandonment of exclusives are unfounded.
