New details revealed for The Wolf Among Us 2 - the game will be significantly longer
After its showing at Summer Game Fest, new details about The Wolf Among Us 2 have emerged.
The developers confirmed the transition to Unreal Engine 5, the abandonment of the episodic model, and spoke about the game's duration, which will be between 8 and 12 hours.
Telltale Games has ported the project to Unreal Engine 5. The game will retain its signature comic book style but will feature smoother animations and significantly improved detail.
The events will unfold six months after the end of the first part. The original actors returned to their roles as Bigby and Snow, and motion capture technology was used to create the animations.
The plot will place a greater emphasis on the relationship between ordinary people and fairy tale creatures. This time, Bigby will not be the hunter but the hunted, while simultaneously investigating a serial killer case. Among the new characters will be Detective Faye, who will accompany the hero.
One of the main changes will be the abandonment of episodic releases. The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released as a full game. The developers have also expanded the possibilities for exploring locations thanks to free 360-degree camera rotation.
The composer of the first part, Jared Emerson-Johnson, will return to create the soundtrack for the sequel. Among the choices, there will be an option to decide whether to reveal the existence of magic to Faye.
