Final Fantasy VII Revelation will bring back endgame content that was missing in Remake and Rebirth

Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed new details about Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The final part of the trilogy will receive full-fledged endgame content, which was not present in either Final Fantasy VII Remake or Rebirth.

Unlike previous games in the series, Revelation will not force players to replay the entire campaign on a higher difficulty for challenging trials. Instead, the developers are preparing a separate set of challenges for those who complete the main story.

The main part of the endgame will be the return of the legendary optional bosses, the Weapons. These enormous biomechanical creatures, awakened by the planet in the face of the threat from Sephiroth, will appear in the story campaign. However, the most dangerous and difficult versions will be hidden on the world map as additional content.

Fans of the original Final Fantasy VII from 1997 will surely remember the battles with Ruby Weapon and Emerald Weapon. These bosses required maximum character leveling and proper equipment management. According to the developers, the new versions of the Weapons will be among the most difficult challenges in the trilogy.
